With the Hexagone Collection, we want to help you discover the most prestigious forests in France for the maturation of your wines and to create harmony and the perfect match between oak and your wine !

Each year, we will introduce a new barrel from a new forest, a barrel numbered and in limited edition, so you can introduce an innovative and original product into your winery : a new prestigious vessel that will bring to light the French forests, and your most prestigious wines !

Due to the scarcity of the oaks chosen, the Hexagone barrels are only available in 228 L, Burgundy shape, with 8 Steel or chestnut hoops.

2018 : Focus on Rambouillet !

The Rambouillet forest, located in the south of the Yvelines department, is one of the most important forests in the Paris area. It is made up of more than 200 square kilometers of wooded area, including 14,550 hectares of state forest that cover the territory of 29 municipalities. The main trees growing there are oaks (68%) and pines (25%).

This forest contains numerous ponds, rocky areas, stretches of sand, small valleys and waterfalls. A part of the forest is located in the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse natural regional park. Boars and roe deers can be found in the forest though stags remain the primary symbol of the area.

Focus on the Rambouillet barrel

The Rambouillet Hexagone barrels is recommended for your premium wines and for long ageing periods. (18 months and more). It will bring roundness, vanilla and fresh almond notes on the nose and elegance, length, complexity and sustained texture on the palate.

It is available in 228L in limited and numbered edition (250 units) – 4 toastings available : L, ML, M+, Forte (ML is advised)
